September 26, 2024 - Hooded Horse and Edgeflow Studio are excited to announce that their sci-fi strategy game Breachway is now available on PC via early access on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
Kit out one of several ship options with modules and crew and dive into a volatile galaxy in search of “The Signal.” Engage in kinetic turn-based space battles and leverage cards, ship resources, and abilities to maximum effect. Victory brings upgraded equipment and new card unlocks, and players can discover new combinations to tackle the escalating threats arrayed against them.
Breachway’s early access features:
Four playable ships, each with their own layouts, synergies, specific bonuses, and initial faction standings.
Multiple types of combat systems to wield in tense turn-based combat, from lasers and missiles to flak and railguns, and even hacking!
A large collection of over 300 cards to discover, allowing players to fine-tune their loadout.
Over 60 submodules with a wide variety of effects. Add them to equipment to further increase their power, and unlock more synergies and possible combos.
6 unique crewmembers to recruit along the way, each bringing their own special ability to deploy in combat.
40 regular enemies, 16 elite enemies, and 2 boss enemies.
Two star systems to traverse, with their own events, enemy types, and boss encounters. Use the fuel system to reach difficult areas, and navigate on the optimal path.
Meta progression between runs – a wide variety of bonuses to unlock and then mix and match.
An escalation system that make runs progressively more challenging.
Four fully fleshed-out factions, each with their own associated events and allegiances.
Space stations, missions, items, random events, and more!
A soundtrack of 19 space-themed tracks.
A detailed roadmap for early access will be revealed at a later date, but players can expect future patches to include everything from new ships and weapons to extra zones and fresh mechanics. The game launches at the same time as the Hooded Horse publisher sale - more details can be found here.
Breachway is localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
Breachway is available now on PC via early access for Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $19.99 / £17.99 / €19.99 / ¥2,480.00. There will be a 25% launch discount, and a press kit is available.
