ATLANTA (Sept. 2, 2024) — The Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo (www.siegecon.net) is collaborating with DreamHack Atlanta, ESL FACEIT Group’s annual gaming lifestyle festival, to support independent game developers’ involvement onsite. The festival is slated to attract more than 40,000 people in Atlanta from October 4-6 at the Georgia World Congress Center as guests explore everything gaming under one roof.
“DreamHack has become the leading festival for gamers all over the world. This has caught the interest of game developers, and our partnership allows both groups great insight into the other. SIEGE is able to add its renowned educational panels and indie game developers to what is already one of the best opportunities for any game,” SIEGE Conference Director Andrew Greenberg said.
SIEGE is the “center of gravity” for networking and knowledge exchange among video game industry professionals and students in the Southeast, said Greenberg. Since 2007, SIEGE features leading figures from across the industry and has hosted panels reflecting the wide spectrum of the game production industry, including artists, programmers, designers, investors, writers, teachers and business executives.
DreamHack is a global gaming lifestyle festival that unites gaming communities across three action-packed days of programming. Across esports tournaments, cosplay competitions, an artist alley, expo space, creator guests, and its world-famous Bring-Your-Own-Computer (BYOC) LAN party, DreamHack Atlanta is a hub for gamers of all kinds.
“Atlanta has a vibrant, passionate gaming community, and DreamHack offers a space for all sorts of fandoms to come together in a unified celebration of gaming,” said Guy Blomberg, Event Director, DreamHack Festivals – Americas, ESL FACEIT Group. “By partnering with SIEGE, this year’s festival continues to also offer professional opportunities to our guests, bringing together seasoned professionals and providing an outlet for members of Atlanta’s game development landscape to connect and support each other.”
