MEDIA ALERT

Genvid is honored to win the 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Innovation in Emerging Media Programming for SILENT HILL: Ascension.

We would like to thank our partners, Konami Digital Entertainment, Bad Robot Games and Behaviour™ Interactive for their efforts in making this award win possible. This is the first Emmy award win for Genvid Entertainment and the third award won for SILENT HILL: Ascension, including two Webby Awards earlier this year.

SILENT HILL: Ascension is an interactive streaming series that recently finished its historic canon and “What If” runs, streaming from October 31, 2023 to July 15, 2024. An audience of millions determined which characters would live and which characters would die in this tragic horror story as it unfolded live.

Twenty two completed episodes, comprising the full story as decided by the audience, are now available to watch free at Ascension.com as well as on Tubi.tv and Sony Pictures Core. The series was built in Unreal Engine using MetaHuman and many fearsome, hand-crafted monsters.

Genvid CEO Jacob Navok says, “We are honored to receive this award from the jury at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. I would like to thank our team members around the world- the more than 300 writers, artists, developers, QA testers, mocap performers, voice actors, localization editors- who made this possible. I would also like to thank Konami Digital Entertainment for their incredible support, and our myriad partners including Bad Robot Games, Behaviour Interactive, Senscape, Streamline, Google and Epic Games, all of whom contributed to this win.”

Genvid is working on its next series, DC Heroes United, which will debut later this year. Genvid recently revealed information about this story, featuring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, at San Diego Comic Con 2024. In this story, the audience will determine how the Justice League comes together, giving the decision power of DC’s Earth-212 to the fans.
