Santa Monica, Calif. – Nov. 25, 2024 – thatgamecompany’s whimsical social adventure game, Sky: Children of the Light, encourages players to get their groove on in today’s return of “Days of Music.” Running until Dec. 8, this year’s musical event is revamped with all new ways for players to express their inner virtuoso, including an enhanced, portable Jam Station and fresh activities to help players create melodic masterpieces.

Sky kids can take center stage by visiting a friendly event guide in Aviary Village and Home. From there, players can teleport to the daily performance location where a unique prompt awaits, beckoning musicians to pick up a nearby instrument to compose and record their very own tune. Sky kids can also listen to each other’s creations by browsing Shared Memories on the stage and even support their performances with applause.

In addition, plenty of event currency is up for grabs to unlock a new cape, a stylish new outfit, and a placeable piano and Jam Station that will remain in Sky permanently even after the event concludes.

A notable upgrade in this year’s “Days of Music” comes from the Jam Station. Now a placeable prop, this music sequencer can be used in Nests, Shared Spaces, and beyond to compose, experiment with, and playback songs with up to four parts in harmony. Jamming out is easier than ever with an updated user interface, the option to select any instrument from players’ closets, and an autosave feature.

On the updated Jam Station, thatgamecompany (TGC) Lead Audio Designer Ritz Mizutani said, “For players who love to play and compose music, this feature is a dream come true. The new music sequencer allows you to create and perform your own little original tunes while collaborating with friends – something we’re proud of accomplishing at TGC.”

“Days of Music” adds even more creativity into the expansive world of Sky: Children of the Light. In Sky, players soar through the skies, visiting enchanting realms above to clouds where captivating quests await. Along the way, players meet and build meaningful bonds with fellow Sky kids from around the world as they uncover tales of unique Spirits and immerse themselves in the breathtaking adventures of Sky’s stunning world.

More details on “Days of Music” can be found in thatgamecompany’s official blog and the teaser trailer. Sky: Children of the Light is available to play on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5 and mobile devices.
