Sokpop :

Indie game boyband Sokpop Collective (Stacklands, Simmiland, Guardener) have published a demo for their next game Grunn ahead of next week’s Steam Next Fest.

They’ve also put out a brand new trailer where dev Tom van den Boogaart talks through some inspirations behind the gardening game, which we must stress is extremely regular and exactly as it seems. Nothing to see here. Nothing sinister, no siree…

About the Game
From indie collective Sokpop (Stacklands, Simmiland, Guardener) comes Grunn, a very normal gardening game. You’ve been hired to work on a garden deep in the Dutch countryside. There’s plenty to do: trim the grass, water the flowers, pick up trash, and of course enjoy the lovely scenery.

Except… Most of your tools are missing. The owner isn’t around. Going out after dark is forbidden. And no matter where you go, you can't escape the sense you're being watched.

You have until Monday. Good luck!

To do:

  • Water the plants

  • Cut the grass

  • Trim the hedges

  • Don’t go inside the house

  • Don’t venture out after dark

  • Don’t bother calling for help

  • Have a nice stay :)

About the developer
Sokpop is a four-person video game collective from Utrecht, the Netherlands. Since forming in 2017 they have released over 100 games. Wow! Their previous projects include Simmiland, Guardener, and Ollie & Bollie: Outdoor Estate. Sokpop’s breakout hit Stacklands launched in 2022 and has since garnered over a million players. Double wow!!
