This fast-paced social shooter delivers intense, short-bursts of action as up to eight players face off in a completely dark arena, armed only with pistols loaded with eight bullets. Accompanying today’s PlayStation 5 launch is the Race to Kill content update for both console and PC versions of Blindfire. The features of this update include:
New weapon variants
Auto Pistol - Scarab
Burst Shotgun - Impunity
Kill Race game mode
An 8-player game mode where players respawn immediately, continuing the high intensity as players race to reach 30 eliminations. Be the first to hit the mark and claim your victory.
The team version of this Kill Race pits two teams of 4 players against each other in a race to 50 eliminations. This game mode is a balanced experience that offers easier comebacks and continuous action, perfect for new Blindfire players.
Elite 10 Leaderboards
This shows The Elite 10; the 10 highest scoring players globally in terms of total wins, kills and points earned across all game modes.
Bug fixes
General performance increase, particularly for PC variants. This will continue to be a focus in future fixes.
Console variants will more consistently reach and stay at their FPS cap.
Continued improvements on the settings menu in terms of responsiveness and correctness.
Your locker skin setup is properly remembered between matches.
Enter gameplay with the correct weapon skin as selected in the locker.
The uncooperative UV light on Shadowpoint Cross is now working, after swapping light bulbs.
In Blindfire, players navigate the dark arena alone as they dodge traps and obstacles. Each step matters—triggering strategically placed UV lights or sirens can set off audio or visual alarms, revealing your location to enemy players. Whether in free-for-all or team-based matches, Blindfire challenges players to rely on audio cues to outmaneuver opponents and emerge as the last one standing.
Silence is your only ally but in Blindfire staying still comes at a deadly cost. Linger too long, and the anti-camping mechanic will betray you with a mask flash, exposing your position to lurking opponents. In this pitch-black battlefield, the brief, blinding muzzle flash from your gun offers a glimpse of your enemy—just enough for you to aim, but enough for them to find you too.
Set in the near-future, Blindfire has emerged as an illicit bloodsport on the dark web, where the ultra-wealthy bet on the lives of desperate contestants. Contestants are lured in by the promise of immense wealth. Clad in identical, dehumanizing jumpsuits and full face masks, they fight in pitch-black arenas filled with traps, relying on their heightened senses to survive.
For spectators, the game offers a voyeuristic thrill, watching every desperate move through cutting-edge night vision technology and the ability to tilt the outcome of a match by triggering traps and alarms. Victory brings a bitter choice: escape with the winnings or risk it all for another round.
