Strange Seed is a creature evolution RPG, set in a third-person, 3D world. This bizarre adventure is stretching out its tentacles with a new trailer on September 9th, plus an upcoming demo release on September 26th!
Defeat creatures, pick up their DNA and evolve new parts. What happens when you give a chicken crab legs — then swap out its wings for armored plates? How will you further adapt to deal with a thorny barrier, a high cliff, or a fast pack of enemies?
Key points:
Endless evolutions: over 100 million possible combos on release
Metroidvania challenges: some parts offer special abilities like breaking walls, flight, or even reading a book
Hats, horns and… guns!?: outfit your creature with any weird object you find lying around; but it might help to have hands… or a head
Retro callbacks: no major creature evolution RPG has existed since 1992’s E.V.O.: Search for Eden — a game that later helped inspire Spore. Strange Seed contains hidden nods to both of these classics!
