TALISMAN: DIGITAL 5th EDITION - DLC CARRY-OVER ANNOUNCEMENT

Today, game developer Nomad Games officially announced their plan to bring expansion content from Talisman: Digital Edition to Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, free of charge for players who own those expansions already.

Talisman: Digital 5th Edition is an upcoming digital adaptation of the board game from Avalon Hill, licensed by Games Workshop. Talisman: Digital Edition was originally released in 2014 and has gone on to be downloaded by millions of players, with 16 expansions released for the game since that original launch.

Originally released in 1983 by Games Workshop, Talisman is a fantasy board game where players embark on an epic quest through a land full of dangerous enemies and treacherous challenges. The latest version of the board game is the 5th Edition, which according to publisher Avalon Hill, “maintains what die-hard fans know and love about the Magical Quest Game but features stunning artwork, redesigned figures, and more streamlined and accessible gameplay.”

“Thanks to the love and support that the Talisman community showed us over the last 10 years, we were able to bring every expansion for the 4th Edition of the game to Talisman: Digital Edition.” said Thomas Young, Marketing Executive of Nomad Games. “We know that players have had a long time to fall in love with those expansions, so we’ve been working hard to bring them into Talisman: Digital 5th Edition”.

The first expansion that Nomad Games will be bringing to Talisman: Digital 5th Edition will be The Reaper Expansion, with more expansions planned for the future. In order to access The Reaper Expansion in Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, players will simply need to login to their Nomad Account in both Talisman: Digital 5th Edition and Talisman: Digital Edition, and own the expansion.

“Allowing players to use the digital Talisman expansions they’ve already purchased in Talisman: Digital 5th Edition is something we knew we wanted to do from the moment we started working on the game” said Thomas Young. “Allowing players to do that for free was a no-brainer too, as a way of showing our appreciation for the support they provided us by purchasing that content originally!”

Talisman: Digital 5th Edition is planned to release onto Steam later this year, with other platforms to follow. Players can wishlist the game now on Steam to stay up to date with the latest news.
