San Francisco, CA – March 5, 2024 - After the successful collaboration between Tennis Clash and Australian Open 2024 and a victorious partnership last year, Wildlife Studios announced its renewed collaboration with the French Tennis Federation for the 2024 Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault. Tennis Clash serves players its biggest collaboration of the year with branded content, newly implemented partnership tokens, and the chance to attend Roland-Garros Stadium for the Final Stage to play for the title of champion and a prize in cash. Preceding its real-life counterpart, in-game events will begin on March 7th with the first open qualifier and run through May 25th.
Setting up the stage for players to serve their way to the top, the 2024 Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault will feature three open qualifiers from March 7-12, March 21-26, and April 11-16. Simultaneously running from March 25 to April 21, The Grand Tour Season faces the most advanced Tennis Clash players against each other in a four-week marathon. The top players of the open qualifiers and Grand Tour Season will qualify for the Final Stage at Roland-Garros Stadium on May 25th. Committed to diversity and inclusion, Wildlife Studios is picking its best female player and the French Tennis Federation is partnering with Handigamers, an organization uplifting disabled gamers, to send their top player to the Final Stage.
The world’s biggest eTennis competition culminates on May 25th at the real-life Roland-Garros Stadium for the Final Stage. The main live event will see 8 players, including the back-to-back William Foster and France’s top player Gilles Simon, competing against each other for the title of the 2024 Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault and a cash prize of €5,000. Achieving Top 6 in the ATP Ranking as a career-high, Gillies Simon fell in love with Tennis Clash after commentating on the 2023 edition. This year, the French Tennis Federation and Tennis Clash grants Gilles Simon a wildcard for the Final Stage, allowing him to compete against the top players in the world. “I'm thrilled to have been invited to participate in the Final Stage of this esports event. Tennis Clash allows me to bridge my two lifelong passions: tennis and video games. It's a significant challenge, but I'm ready to embrace it!,” the tennis player stated.
Last year, Tennis Clash saw over 8.7 million matches and 400 thousand unique players play matches across its Roland-Garros tournaments. In honor of the event this year, in-game updates will include a special replica of Court Philippe-Chatrier, the Roland-Garros main court, new branded outfits, themed bags, and the return of the Roland-Garros Strings. Players can also obtain the brand new Renault 5 Strings for free, giving players an edge against competition.
The 2024 Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault continues the traditional system of Tournament Qualifiers and brings two new in-game mechanics recently introduced to the fan-favorite tennis game:
RG In-game Tournament Qualifiers – Between March 7th and March 11th, players will be able to compete in the 1st open qualifier inside the game, from which the top overall player and the top female player will get spots in the live Final Stage. The 2nd open qualifier is set to take place between March 21st and March 25th with the top player from the Handigamers NGO also qualifying for the Final Stage, besides the overall top player. And wrapping up the qualifier tournaments season, the 3rd open qualifier will occur between April 11th and April 15th.
RG Grand Tour Qualifier– This themed one month season is available to players who have reached the last stage in the game’s progression system. From March 25th to April 21st, these players will be able to participate in the themed tour where they can compete in the RG arena and win exclusive rewards: the top player will snatch the final place in the Final Stage and a trip to Paris, while other high-ranked players will get Roland-Garros merchandise and themed in-game rewards.
RG Tokens – Players can earn Tokens by playing multiple game modes in Tennis Clash. These Tokens can be used in the in-game store to unlock exclusive branded items from both current and previous collaborations.
Developed by Wildlife Studios and based on in-depth studies and analysis of the sport, Tennis Clash offers an extremely similar experience to the real matches. As a result, it has become highly popular not just with mobile gamers, but tennis fans alike. Easy to learn but hard to master, Tennis Clash is consistently ranked in the top 5 in the sports games category in the App Store, and was selected as one of the “5 best competitive games of 2019” in Google Play.
