Testronic :

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Testronic, an award-winning games development service provider, has appointed industry veteran Stephen Wickes to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas.

Stephen joins Testronic from services provider Universally Speaking where he was their Executive Director.

Prior to Universally Speaking, Stephen served as VP of Business Development for Keywords Studios, where he led the Group’s sales efforts throughout the Americas on some of their largest partnerships. He has also held key production roles at Vivendi Universal Games/Activision – formerly as Executive Producer, supporting the publishing giant’s production efforts across numerous franchises, and latterly as the group’s Senior Director, a role which saw him reporting directly to the President and COO, taking responsibility for growing their co-publishing business.

In his new role at Testronic, Wickes will be responsible for accelerating Testronic’s QA, Localisation, Player Support, Art and Development business across the Americas.

Stephen: “Testronic has been a leader in the outsource sector for over 25 years. With the company’s expansion into art and development following the acquisition of Secret 6 last year, our teams and technologies are now able to provide customer partners with not just a service, but a holistic solution to help them create award-winning games from the early stages of production until post launch.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to bring my near 30-year experience in games production and business development to an incredible team of like-minded people and look forward to us collectively growing the business even further.”

Testronic’s CEO Mike Betti added: “This is truly an exciting time for Testronic. 2023 saw us expand our service lines with the acquisition of Secret 6, open a new office location in Lisbon, add key executive personnel including new Senior VP of Sales & Marketing Adam Keating, and pick up the 2023 TIGA Award for Best QA & Localisation Service Provider.

“We now welcome Steve to the team and look forward to him bringing his many years of games industry experience to Testronic. We are heading into 2024 with an especially strong team, backed up with award-winning service lines.”
