October 9, 2024 — stellarNull, the indie developers behind the retro-inspired action RPG Anuchard, are excited to announce their newest title, Mentari. The reveal comes just ahead of the developer's attendance at the Indonesia Game Developer eXchange, taking place from October 10-12, 2024. indie.io is proud to be collaborating with stellarNull for the second time, following their partnership on Anuchard. Available to wishlist now on Steam, Mentari offers an action-adventure experience set in a world frozen by a mysterious affliction known as The Stillness.
Anuchard was praised for its engaging gameplay and charming world, and with Mentari, stellarNull builds on its unique approach to storytelling and mechanics. The new game introduces a dance-based combat system, where players heal the world through movement and connection rather than destruction.

In Mentari, players guide the titular heroine, a young dancer, across the archipelago, The Bead Isles, using her dance-based powers to heal the world and restore life to the frozen land. Each person Mentari heals will return the favor by helping her open new paths and uncover secrets in the archipelago. As players progress, they unlock new dance moves, allowing for hundreds of possible combinations and customizable choreography.
This coming-of-age story is about more than just saving the world; it's also about self-discovery, connection, and the journey Mentari undertakes to heal herself and the world around her.
