JAPAN, August 20th, 2024

The indie game "Marfusha: Sentinel" has surpassed 200,000 copies sold. Additionally, a new trading card feature will be available on the Steam version starting today. Of the total sales, 73% come from Japan, 9% from China and 4% from South Korea.

It is impressive for a Japanese indie game to achieve such numbers, as the number of Steam users in Japan is relatively small. "Marfusha: Sentinel" is a fast-paced shooting game set in a dystopian world rendered in 2.5D pixel art. Players take on the role of Marfusha, a young border guard defending the gate from approaching enemies.

The console version is distributed by PLAYSM and is available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One. Since its launch on Steam in August 2021, many users have played the game, and as of today, 93% have given it positive reviews. Thanks to your support, the sequel, "Snezhinka: Sentinel Girls 2," is scheduled to release on Steam next Tuesday, August 27th.
