Paris, France - Tuesday, May 28th 2024 - On Saturday, May 25, the final stage of the world's largest eTennis tournament took place, featuring 548,000 participants in the qualifiers. The event attracted nearly 204,000 viewers on Twitch and 200 in-person spectators. Alessandro "ΔLEX" Bianco from Italy, an underdog in the competition, was crowned champion of the Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault 2024 on the mobile game Tennis Clash. He defeated Shenghao "Kafe" He from China, a two-time finalist and silver medalist of the Olympics eSport Series, without dropping a single set in the 9 matches he played.
 

Winning Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault feels incredible and amazing. I didn’t expect to play so well and end the tournament with zero defeats. I hope to maintain this level every year and defend my title as best I can”, said Alessandro “ΔLEX” Bianco.
 

Supported by its new title partner Renault and its official partner Mastercard, this final stage took place within the brand new auditorium of the Tenniseum at Roland-Garros. For this occasion, eight participants from seven different countries (UK, FRA, USA, CHN, ITA, QUE, TUR) competed, including Gilles Simon, an acclaimed former professional tennis player.

 

After facing each other in the round-robin group stage, the top four players advanced to the direct elimination final draw. The semifinals were played in a best-of-three format to determine who would qualify for the grand final played in a best-of-five format.
 

Here is the final ranking: 

  • Winner: Alessandro "ΔLEX" Bianco (ITA).

  • Runner-up: He "Kafe" ShengHao (CHN) - Winner of the first Open Qualifier, 2023 finalist, and silver medalist at the Olympic Esport Series 2023.

  • Semifinalist: Marc "MarcAntony" Antoine (CAN) - Winner of the third Open Qualifier.

  • Semifinalist: William "Ƒøƶƶу" Foster (UK) - Winner of the 2023 Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault edition.

  • Group stage: Hizir "Hizir" Balkanci (TUR) - Winner of the Grand Tour (qualifier reserved for the best Tennis Clash players).

  • Group stage: Gilles "Cloud" Simon (FRA) - Wild card No. 1, former ATP number 6 who recently joined Daniil Medvedev's team.

  • Group stage: Adjua "RenaPower" Boucher (USA) - Best female player of the first Open Qualifier.

  • Group stage: Tony "Ivar" Pilarski (FRA) - Wild card No. 2, best player of the Handigamers association.

 

Beyond the competition, the show captivated the audience at the Tenniseum of Roland-Garros, a meeting point for a curious and enthusiastic audience. With tennis quizzes, humor, and sports discussions, the event pleased all spectators during the 4.5-hour Twitch livestream with an average of 6,400 viewers.

The FFT then made a donation to the Handigamers association, a true demonstration of the competition's social commitment. Each point scored during the Final Phase was converted into a donation of €15, for a total amount of €8,115.

Launched in 2018, Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault is the world’s largest and most inclusive eTennis tournament. The competition offers four open Qualifying tournaments accessible for free directly through the Tennis Clash application.
