Hong Kong – June 28, 2022 – What do you do if you think the survival genre could use a bit of sprucing up? If you’re Life Is A Game, you make Last Fortress: Underground, a bold new spin on the apocalypse that combines elements of survival, horror, and life simulation, and it’s available now on iOS and Android devices. In Last Fortress: Underground, you guide a ragtag band of survivors who find themselves in a vast subterranean complex while on the run from a horde of ravenous zombies. Putting aside their fear for a moment, the group begins exploring the ancient fortress, hoping it can provide a safe place to call home – at least for a little while.
What they find is something much more vast than they ever expected with the potential to support new communities and sustain them against the zombie threat. Forging a life in the darkness takes work, and as you gradually expand your fledgling settlement, it draws other survivors who found their way underground to it. Once they join your band of stalwarts, you can assign them tasks, such as gathering materials or helping produce resources essential for survival and the town’s continued growth.
It’s a lot to keep track of, but Last Fortress: Underground’s cross-sectional view makes it easy to manage your group, with a clean and intuitive layout that lets you see what’s happening in all your facilities at any given time. Aside from the NPC survivors your settlement may attract as it slowly begins to flourish, you can also team up with other players online. Form alliances with other players and work together to push back against the darkness. With the help of each other – and some powerful heroes you may be lucky enough to recruit along the way – you may even be able to reclaim the surface once more.
