Alpharetta, USA - August 6, 2024 - Titan Forge Games today revealed a brand new SMITE 2 GodMordred, the Breaker of the Round Table. SMITE 2 picks up the Dark Knight’s tale following the battle against his nemesis, King Arthur, giving players a chance to write a new ending for their story. The new God will be playable during the game’s Close Alpha phase.

With a deadly affliction and no redemption left, Mordred is on a relentless hunt to reclaim his crown through the unique way of fighting with dual-wielding swords. Clad in heavy armour, but scarred grievously, he has returned with his heart affixed onto his cruel sword focused on Strength, Mourning, while his second, lighter sword Clarent is swift and focused on Intelligence.

In an extensive blog post, the SMITE 2 design team details the development process behind the character, to ensure the Dark Knight’s wrath, ruthless nature, and wicked charisma come through in the fight.  The full post, including art and storyboards from the God’s development can be found on the official website.

On Wednesday, August 7th, the developers will give further insight into what players can expect from SMITE 2’s continuing Closed Alpha, and updates on some of the more highly requested changes from the community. The stream begins at 3pm ET on the official Twitch channel.

For guaranteed access to the closed testing, Founder’s Edition can be purchased on SteamPlayStation 5Xbox and Epic Games Store. Players can also request to join the playtest via the SMITE 2 Steam page or register their interest for playing on other platforms on the official website. More information about SMITE 2 can be found in the official FAQ and via XTikTokYouTubeFacebookand Instagram.
