Total War: PHARAOH – DYNASTIES - Free expansion-sized addition out now for macOS via Steam.

Feral Interactive today announced that Total War: PHARAOH’s huge DYNASTIES addition is now available on macOS via Steam.

Total War: PHARAOH – DYNASTIES delivers a host of new features, expanding the campaign map into new regions and adding new factions, units and gameplay mechanics alongside sweeping quality-of-life improvements. Spanning much of the ancient world from the Aegean to Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt, DYNASTIES almost doubles the size of PHARAOH’s original campaign map by adding 168 new settlements, new historical landmarks, new victory objectives and more. Players can traverse this vastly expanded sandbox via new Sea Travel Lanes that speed up their fleets, enabling armies to raid and invade further and faster.

Four of the ancient world’s most renowned cultures join the fight to hold back the cataclysmic events of the Bronze-Age Collapse, with Babylon, Assyria, Mycenae and Troy each offering a unique campaign experience. An additional 25 minor factions are also available to play, such as the Aeolians led by the fabled Achilles, and Napata led by the warrior-king Memnon. 

Whether playing as new or existing factions, the new Dynasty system enables players to grow a powerful family tree. Players can influence the tides of mortality and succession, helping their empires to endure by navigating strategic marriages, heroic deaths, assassinations… and the looming threat of old age.

DYNASTIES also brings over 150 new and reworked units to the battlefield — including faction-specific units such as the elite Guards of Troy — along with new battle mechanics and modifiers allowing seasoned commanders to increase the challenge.

The vast Total War: PHARAOH – DYNASTIES expansion is now available for macOS as a free addition for all Total War: PHARAOH owners on Steam. The expansion will be automatically added to the owner’s Steam library as a separate app, and does not require Total War: PHARAOH to be installed to play. DYNASTIES cannot be purchased separately from the original Total War: PHARAOH game.
