Dyglone :

On August 21st, 2024, Japanese indie game developer Dyglone released a free demo for an upcoming game titled UFO-Man.

The demo is now available for download on Steam for both Windows and MacOS.

UFO-Man is a simple foddian 2D action game. This game combines elements of Japanese irritating bar games called “Iraira-bou (イライラ棒)” and well-known difficult foddian games like "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy" or "Only Up!".

The full version is scheduled for release in Fall 2024.

The purpose of this game is to lift up the square "Luggage" with your UFO and carry it to the top. The UFO will easily drop the Luggage if it bumps into walls, obstacles, or the Luggage itself. Once you drop, you may lose hours of your progress and must start climbing again from where you dropped it.

You must avoid dropping the Luggage considering the laws of physics, and steadily but sometimes boldly work your way to the goal as much as possible. You can enjoy the satisfaction of overcoming challenges unique to typical foddian games, a novel experience of control that demands patience, and competitive score attack elements that make you want to play repeatedly.

The full version will feature a single, massive course with various stages filled with numerous unique gimmicks, including caves, sunsets, mysterious factories, cities, outer space, and so on. Even after completing the game, players can enjoy plenty of additional content, such as hidden elements and a "Practice Mode" designed for speedrun players and achievement collectors. One of the game's unique features is the "Crash Count", which records how many times the UFO collides with obstacles or the Luggage. This allows players to enjoy the game as a score attack challenge, striving to clear the course with as few crashes as possible.

The free demo, released on August 21st, allows players to experience the initial stage of the course. The stage design and controls are identical to those in the full version. However, some features unlocked after completing the game, such as the "Practice Mode", are not included in the demo.

The full version of 'UFO-Man', scheduled for release in Fall 2024, will have a launch sale offering 15% off for one week after its release on Steam. By adding the game to your Steam wishlist, you can receive a notification when it becomes available.
