OSAKA — April 21, 2022 — DANGEN Entertainment has announced that the PC version of Ultra Age will be released on Steam on April 28th. The Steam version of Ultra Age will incorporate a number of improvements over its previous release on consoles.

Graphically, the overall quality of backgrounds in all chapters of the game have been improved, including a rehaul of the appearance of the main character, Age. Developer Next Stage / Visual Dart have also improved the framerate, added graphics options, adjusted the level design and difficulty, and fixed some aspects of gameplay for a more comfortable experience.

The English and Japanese voiceovers have been completely re-recorded to increase the immersive feeling of the game. Bug fixes and various in-game options for PC users have also been added.

Developer Next Stage / Visual Dart have also announced that in addition to general improvements, they are preparing a free DLC to enrich the way the game is played. The DLC will provide content for players who have cleared the story mode of the game, such as logged game play, new character growth methods with various choices, the addition of collector elements, and more. The DLC will be released for free this summer.

Along with the announcement of the release date, DANGEN Entertainment has also announced that the improvements and additions of Ultra Age will be applied not only to the PC version, but also to the PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™ versions. Updates for the console versions will be applied soon.

"Thank you again for all the support and interest that Ultra Age has received over the past seven months since its console release. We are very happy to release this improved version of Ultra Age on PC.” stated Next Stage director, Kang Hyun Woo, in an Ultra Age Roadmpa Conference held on April 21st. “We hope Ultra Age is a faithful approach to the high-speed character genre and will be recognized as a great game in the indie space.”

Ultra Age is a high-speed action title developed by Korea-based indie game company Next Stage and graphic specialist company Visual Dart. In development for over four years, Ultra Age was released for PlayStation®4 and Nintendo Switch™ on September 9th of last year. Developed with Unreal Engine 4, Ultra Age attracted considerable attention at the time of its release, showing excellent action and gameplay elements that push the boundaries of indie games.

Ultra Age captures the high-speed character action genre with a blend of fast-paced action with multiple weapons and skill customization set on a futuristic Earth. You play as Age, a sword-wielding soldier sent on a mission to save humanity from destruction. Using a variety of blades, you can execute fast, stylish combos, perform air combos and enemy pulls, and deliver devastating break blade attacks to annihilate foes. Gather resources to strengthen your weapons, expand your skills, learn new combos and level up Age and his android, Helvis.
