DUNDEE, Scotland – March 22, 2022 – Dundee and East Linton based 4J Studios is delighted to announce the appointment of Brian Gomez to the newly created post of Creative Director and Executive Producer.
Brian joins 4J from NBC Universal where he was most recently Executive Producer on the Jurassic World gaming franchise.
Brian has spent his career in the games industry in senior design and production roles across several companies including a significant period with The Walt Disney company and the production company of horror author Clive Barker.
Brian’s return to Scotland from Los Angeles also re-unites him with 4J founders, Chris van der Kuyl and Paddy Burns whom he worked with at VIS entertainment in the 1990s.
Paddy Burns, CEO of 4J Studios said, “Brian is a world class games designer and creative producer and we are delighted that he has chosen to join 4J. The company is working on several original new games and Brian’s input will be crucial”.
Chris van der Kuyl, Chairman of 4J Studios added, “Brian’s appointment heralds the beginning of a new chapter for 4J. We are still working hard on various aspects of the Minecraft universe and, at the same time, developing our next generation of games and technology.”
