Global Game Republishing Platform Company VALOFE announced on the 12th that the popular rhythm game called ‘R2Beat’ is going to have a special collaboration with the future-themed idol Vocaloid, named Mirai Komachi.

 
This collaboration will target users from countries where R2Beat is serviced, including Korea, Japan, and China, and is expected to generate strong synergy between VALOFE and Bandai Namco Research Institute. Bandai Namco will provide 13 popular songs including new songs by ’Mirai Komachi’, to ‘R2Beat’ from VALOFE. In addition, sales of limited items like costume avatars and pets and special mission events will be held from September 12 to December 19, expected to encourage active participation of users.

 
Mirai Komachi, from the 22nd century, is a 22-year-old futuristic idol who was born on February 22. She loves technology, cats, and carrots. Currently, she’s affiliated with Bandai Namco Research Institute, supporting future-related research through her music release and DJ activities as Vocaloid. In May of this year, she released her new songs “Bright Future” and “Kokoro Evolution.”

 
R2Beat is an online game that combines music with racing, where characters are wearing inline skates and clear obstacles in rhythm while racing through various courses. Since its release in 2006, the unique lore of the game has maintained its freshness and charm, allowing new users to enjoy diverse range of musing and racing with simple controls.

 
According to the market research agency Research & Market, the global virtual human marketing industry is expected to reach approximately 102 trillion won by 2028. Thereof, the gaming industry has also been actively collaborating their games with the virtual market for the game promotions., and VALOFE plans to continue pursuing collaboration with various virtual humans.


Lim ChulHoan, the CEO of NKT3, who facilitated the collaboration, stated that he hopes this collaboration serves as a great example of conducting business between Korea and Japan centered around IP and games through closer cooperation between the two companies.


An official from VALOFE said, “This collaboration will provide a special experience for both Vocaloid fans and R2Beat users” and added, “We believe the unique charm of “Mirai Komachi” combined with the exciting gameplay of ‘’R2Beat” will offer even more diverse content, so we hope everyone will look forward to it.”
