Vampire Survivors arrives on PlayStation5 and PlayStation4 today, 29th August! After winning the ‘Best Game’ BAFTA award and getting over 220,000 positive Steam Reviews, developer poncle have brought their indie mega-hit to PlayStation. Vampire Survivors is out now on PS5 and PS4.
Alongside the base game with all the latest updates – including over 40 playable characters, and 80 weapons, as well as full Trophy support – all four DLCs will also be available for purchase PS5 and PS4 at launch. The game is also cross-gen buy, meaning players can technically get… TWO PLATINUM TROPHIES! 🏆🏆 One on PS4, and one on PS5!
Vampire Survivors PS Highlights
Cross-gen ownership: Players that buy the PS version of Vampire Survivors automatically own both the PS5 and the PS4 version of the game. Players who buy Vampire Survivors on PS5 can choose to download and play the PS5 or PS4 version, and can re-install their preferred version at any time. On PS4, players can download the PS4 version only, and upon purchasing a PS5, will have access to both PS4 and PS5 versions.
One platinum trophy EACH: The PS5 and the PS4 version of the game each have their own set of trophies, which also means players can technically get TWO Platinum trophies if they finish both Playstation versions of Vampire Survivors. And PS5 players can do it on the same device! As with all PS games, the Platinum trophy is unlocked by getting all the main game Trophies.
221 Trophies: Vampire Survivors offers 180 base game Trophies. The Trophy count goes up to 221 in total if players also make their way through all the updates and the first two DLCs.
DLC Trophies: All four Vampire Survivors DLCs will be available to purchase on PlayStation at launch. ‘Legacy of the Moonspell’ and ‘Tides of the Foscari’ are both set within the game's universe and will include trophies. However, ‘Emergency Meeting’ and ‘Operation Guns’, which are collaborations with Among Us and Contra, will only feature in-game achievements with no trophies attached. The reason for this is that if the DLCs were ever to be removed from the store due to licensing complications, those trophies would become unobtainable, which would be a real shame for trophy hunters in the future.
Trophy Ordering: A Quick note from poncle on the order of the Trophies “We have to apologise for not visually sorting the trophies in the right order. We made sub-groups as planned, but made the mistake of ordering the lists within incorrectly, which is permanent. We're sorry this makes things messy and difficult to follow.”
