Google and Bolverk Games present the Voice Attorney gameplay trailer for the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max

Google and Bolverk Games have created “Voice Attorney,” a courtroom game that is one of the first narrative-driven games on the Google Nest Hub and its big brother, the Google Nest Hub Max. Today, the gameplay trailer has been unveiled.
In the trailer, Game Director Jaime Monedero March plays through a section from the first of four cases played in the courtroom game, presenting how Voice Attorney is controlled by voice and how the player interacts with the characters, choices, and puzzles in the game.
Full voice cast
The trailer shows a few minutes of gameplay, taken from the second episode out of the full game’s twelve total episodes. It showcases several features of the game:
Full voice acting gives the dialogue tension like that of a visual novel.
Asking free-form questions thanks to Google’s Natural Language Understanding technology.
The interruption mechanic, where the player can shout “objection!”, cutting off the characters to point out their lies.
Examining evidence and finding contradictions with the help of the Google Nest Hub’s screen and the player’s legal partner, Perkins.

Google and Bolverk Games
It is the first time Bolverk Games has developed a game for Google, and the studio is looking forward to treading more new ground in game development with the American tech company in the future.
“Working with Google has been very exciting: they gave us complete creative control over the game while also taking a really active part in the development, especially when it came to helping us leverage the complexity and possibilities of their voice recognition tech,” says Monedero March.
Bolverk Games is mainly a VR games studio but sometimes branches out into other new technologies in the gaming space, such as voice games and AR. Bolverk Games have been at the forefront of VR gaming tech since the earliest days and continue to impress in this sphere.
