Whack-n-slash'em-up XX Delicto coming to PC in 2024

Quartermunchers is delighted to announce that it's setting sail on its maiden voyage with dystopian thirstpunk whack-n-slash'em-up XX Delicto, coming to PC by the end of 2024. The trailer is now live on YouTube (as well as the game’s Steam page) and showcases gameplay featuring some of the rogue(ultra)lite's combat arenas, skills, and unlockable costumes.


When her cancer-riddled girlfriend mysteriously disappears, renegade courier Velocity attacks, specials, projectiles, dashes, and blocks her way through the oppressive post-male American capital of Coastal Ohio. She does battle with rampaging gangs, the ultra-violent COPD, and the kunoichi boffins of the sinister Rubin Complex, where the Sisterhood of the Holy Entrepreneuriat reportedly carries out unspeakable eugenic experiments. Will she rescue Tranquility before the latter’s cancer puts paid to the long-anticipated revolution?


According to triple-D solo dev Quartermonk, the UE5 game blatantly rips off pays loving and very humble homage to the combat systems of games like Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden, the progression system and narrative design of Hades, and the jiggle physics of Dead or Alive 5.


“But not Dark Souls,” the dev added. “Life’s too short for another one of those.”


Quartermonk has also promised that there is no multiplayer whatsoever on the roadmap and that the single player game will pass on seasonal content. “The only DLC will be a pink ribbon outfit with proceeds going to breast cancer research.”
