Riot Games earned its fifth Sports Emmy win for its broadcast of the historic Worlds 2023 Final between T1 and Weibo Gaming, it was announced Monday during the 45th Annual Sports Emmy Awards in New York City. 

For the second straight year, Riot’s two global esports championships – Worlds and VALORANT Champions – received nominations for their broadcast productions in the Outstanding Esports Championship Coverage category by the National Academy of the Television Arts & Sciences. 

Riot Games’ production of the League of Legends World Championship Final has earned a nomination in this category every year since it was first offered in 2020 with this year marking Riot’s fourth win.

Prior to 2020, Riot earned its first Sports Emmy honor in 2018 in the Live Graphic Design category.
