Quick reminder
Wormventures - Barrier 51 is a funny classic 3D cartoon point and click adventure solo developed by Marcus Röckendorf. It will be available for PCs running Windows or Linux. A Steam page and a press kit page are available. It will feature German voice overs and subtitles as well as subtitles in English. The Demo of the game is available for some month now on Steam.
Development (almost) done
After nine years of development, I can announce that the development of my game is complete. There's only one character missing that still need to be voiced. Everything else is done. I'm still finding places in the scenes that I can add more details to, i.e. 3D assets, but I could still do this until I retire, so there has to come a time when you say to yourself: That's enough! That's now! When the last characters have been voiced, the game is finished and can be released. I hope to get the game out this year, but depending on how the beta tests go, it could be the start of next year.
Beta testers wanted
However, there are still tests to be done between now and the release. You don't want an untested game, do you? No, I don't think so. And even though I've played the game (probably) hundreds of times myself, that doesn't mean much in practice. Among developers, there's a meme called "It worked on my machine.", which describes absolutely correctly how it is in reality. It runs perfectly on your own computer, but on the next one you just get crap. For this reason, I'm currently looking for beta testers who will play through the game again and put it through its paces. If anyone is interested, please get in touch. I've ordered Steam beta keys, which will turn into full version keys after the release.
New trailers
I have put two new trailers online: A voice over trailer that gives you an impression of the voice acting in the game and a story trailer that outlines the initial story of the game. Here is the voice over trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxouwqJ-eZA And here is the story trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgTPhi5CjZQ Both trailers contain the German voice acting and have German and English subtitles. More information and the development blog can be found on the official Wormventures - Barrier 51 Homepage.
