How Should I begin?

"Sk8r Trix Game" started out as an idea I had about a simple skateboarding game that wouldn't take  too long to finish.

I spent days thinking of how I could make it and I drew many concept art drawings of the characters and things like the gameplay.

I decided that there should be a time limit for the one level in the game and I went to work on it.

This was how it looked after I finished up the title screen.

I then decided that I should start working on the music and thought about what the perfect theme song would be for this simple game.

I finished up the song; you can hear it here.

The core aspects

The core aspects of the game revolved around you as one of three characters avoiding obstacles until time was up.

The time limit I decided on was about 30 seconds because then you could really get a feel for the game before it ended.

I thought that players who completed the only level would be left feeling with a sense of wanting more from the game, so I created some updated versions of the game with a different appearance.

Final Thoughts

I think that the game did alright and we actually managed to get quite a few people interested in playing!

The true victory in creating this game is that I learned a bit more about what people look forward to in a game and I believe that I can change pace in the future so that the games will take more time to make but will be a higher quality.

I'm still relatively new at being a gamedev but I know that if I work well with a team then we can possibly create a game that is far better than this game that kinda flopped.

You can get the game here
