Game development tool vendor Hansoft announced that developer Blue Fang Games (Zoo Tycoon series) has integrated Hansoft's project management and QA tools into its existing development processes. Hansoft's software has been licensed by a number of development studios, such as Ubisoft Paris, Black Lantern, Artificial Mind and Movement, and Ninja Theory, for project management, bug tracking, workload coordination, and document management. The tool is designed on principles of collaborative scheduling, task tracking, instant communication, Agile, QA / bug tracking, resource usage, portfolio and document management. Founded in 1998 and based in Waltham, Massachusetts, Blue Fang is an independent studio focused on creating games based on the animal kingdom. Its Zoo Tycoon franchise has sold over seven million units worldwide. Currently, it is developing a new multiplatform video game with THQ. “Blue Fang has tried many project management tools over the past ten years, ranging from industry standards to homegrown systems," says Blue Fang Games producer Fred Galpern. "Each had their strengths and weaknesses but only Hansoft has brought it all together in a single package that is useful for both our developers and producers." He continues, "The ability to work with agile and traditional methods makes Hansoft the most attractive option for the way we develop games."
