Facial animation tech provider Image Metrics and 3D motion capture company Motion Technologies have entered the Asian Pacific market through a partnership, the companies jointly announced Thursday. Motion Technologies will distribute Image Metrics' facial animation software Faceware and its headcams as a partner in the company's Image Metrics Certified Partner Program. "In less than six months, we have grown the Image Metrics partner program to include a solid roster of industry-leading companies, and this new partnership with Motion Technologies now extends our reach to a global scale," said Image Metrics CEO Robert Gehorsam. "Motion Technologies has successfully managed to establish a steadfast reputation as an innovative motion capture company in the Asian entertainment market, and we’re honored to work with them as we enter this new arena," he continued. Faceware was launched earlier this year, and has already signed Halo creator Bungie as a client. More information available on the Image Metrics website.
