Crytek opening six more virtual reality labs through VR First

Six more Universities have joined Crytek's VR First education program, which helps student devs get to grips with virtual reality hardware and software through the creation of specialised, on-campus VR Labs.

Six more Universities have joined Crytek's VR First education program, which helps student devs get to grips with virtual reality hardware and software through the creation of specialized, on-campus VR Labs.

The German game company is helping finance and stock those labs with the aid of partners such as AMD, Leap Motion, OSVR, and Razer.

Since lifting the lid on VR First, Crytek has opened eight labs in countries including Turkey, Canada, and the U.S..

Now, the number of participating school is about to jump to 14, with the addition of institutes from around the world including The University of Canterbury (New Zealand), Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and University College London (UK). 

Other additions include Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), Oklahoma University (USA), and Tallinn Technical University (Estonia).
