Volition is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and skilled animation programmer to help drive and define the look of our titles.
You will be working in a collaborative environment of artists, designers, and programmers and will have the opportunity to contribute to the projects well beyond the bounds of great looking character motion. We are considering qualified applicants for a senior or principal animation programmer position.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement animation heavy game play systems for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC titles
Trouble shoot animation bugs in game code and help other programmers interface with the animation system properly
Help artists implement and maintain animation graphs to control character motion
Collaborate with other team members from varied disciplines to drive the character motion forward
Qualifications:
Significant previous animation system programming experience
Strong communication skills needed to collaborate across disciplines on a daily basis
Extensive C programming skills with an in depth understanding of software construction
Strong understanding of software engineering principles as applied to architecting systems for use in large scale code bases and teams
Experience developing AAA titles on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One or PlayStation 4 platforms
