This week we finally concepted the final replacement for the small scorpions.  We’re calling it the jumper.  We also have a concept for the turreted scorpion, and the pincer scorpion’s animations are almost done (they’re looking good so far!).

We also welcome our new intern, Sarah, from OCAD, who is already doing some great coyote concept art!  I also have contracted a talented artist, Rachel, to work on the illustrations for cards for me.

Actually as I discussed the illustrations we solidified some of the themes in the game.  All the bad guys are mechanical, whereas you’re fighting for the natural order.  This has ultimately led to some cool new changes which we’ll be revealing at  a later date.  I’ve also ditched the plans for the spades suit of cards – formerly they were utility powers, which were very boring.  Now they will be cool active powers which use up your water or life reserves.
