Officials from character animation software developer Di-O-Matic have announced the latest version of their LipSync MX, featuring Windows Vista support, as well as a number of new supported file formats. Designed for Flash animators and web designers to speed up production of lip synchronization animations, LipSync MX takes an audio file and automatically animates character drawings into talking character animations in almost any language, including English, French, Japanese and German. The new version of the software now also supports a floating license scheme, AVI and image files sequence publishing, support for aiff and compressed wave files, and full transparency support for PNG and SWF images. Said Di-O-Matic president Laurent M. Abecassis, “With this new version of LipSync MX, we have extended the lip sync possibilities beyond only web animations. Our users can now export AVI and images sequence and rely on LipSync MX as a automated process in any 2D animation pipeline.”
