Montreal-based voiceover studio Game On Audio is expanding to Los Angeles this September with the help of experienced video game voiceover director Amanda Wyatt, the company announced today. Wyatt will head up the new location as its studio director and lead voice director, following a several-year career as a voiceover and casting director on numerous blockbuster games including 2008's Prince of Persia, the God of War series, and the Assassin's Creed series. Before that time spent as an independent contractor, she served for six years as the voiceover business manager at Soundelux Design Music Group, another group with strong video game roots. Game On Audio's regional expansion comes after eight years operating in Montreal. "Game On Audio has gone from one of the first video game sound specialists in Montreal to worldwide audio production with partner studios around the world," said Game On CEO Samuel Girardin in a statement. Girardin added that Wyatt "understands how critical it is to ensure that the sound, music, and voiceover assets work together to create a cohesive soundtrack for the game." In the same statement, Wyatt said she is "very excited to join the Game On Audio team, and to be part of building something truly innovative from the ground up here in L.A."
