It's hard to see, but sound accounts for a very large part of the experience in games.

At GDC 2012, Craig Duman, John Kurlander, Inon Zur -- audio professionals who worked on WB Games' Lord of the Rings: War in the North -- sought to shed light on what it really takes to incorporate a live orchestra into a game's production.

The subject alone is intriguing, but what makes this particular talk especially notable is the fact that War In The North's soundtrack featured orchestral recordings captured at the legendary Abbey Road recording venue.

It was a fascinating talk, and if you missed it in person all those years ago you can now watch the entire talk for free (albeit with just slides, no video) over on the official GDC YouTube channel.
