Jiesang received Computer Science and Environmental Engineering degrees from Cornell University and worked as a database application programmer at Oracle for a year. He returned to Korea to fulfill his military service requirements, oddly by working as a game programmer. He was the main game programmer for Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders.
