Nintendogs + Cats Passes 1M Sales On 3DS

Despite the system's lagging sales, Nintendogs + Cats remains a bright spot for Nintendo's 3DS, becoming the first Nintendo-published game to break the one million barrier.

Despite the system's lagging sales, Nintendogs + Cats remains a bright spot for Nintendo's 3DS, becoming the first Nintendo-published game to break the one million barrier. According to sales numbers provided to investors Tuesday as part of Nintendo's quarterly financial results briefing, 1,710,000 copies of the game have been sold to retailers worldwide to date, with 460,000 sold in Japan and 1,250,000 sold elsewhere. The game joins Capcom's Super Street Fighter IV 3D in the million-sellers club, which broke the million-unit barrier earlier this month.
