Newsbrief: RuneScape developer and publisher Jagex has hired Remo Gettini for its newly created vice president of technology position, where he'll work on the company's platform. Prior to joining the UK-based company, Gettini was previously CTO at British publisher CTO. Before that, he spent nearly seven years at Electronic Arts' mobile and interactive divisions, helping build their platforms and technologies for franchises like FIFA, Need for Speed, and The Sims. At Jagex, Gettini will manage the planning and implementation for all of the company's technical projects. He joins a growing list of notable hires and promotions at Jagex lately, including CCO Alex Horton, COO Daniel Clough, CMO David Solari, and global marketing manager Simon Etchells.
