World of Tanks' rapid growth continues

Wargaming's extremely popular free-to-play online game World of Tanks has just reached 40 million registered players around the world, doubling its userbase from earlier this year.

Newsbrief: Wargaming's extremely popular free-to-play online game World of Tanks has just reached 40 million registered players around the world, doubling its userbase from earlier this year. The Belarusian company has released World of Tanks across North America, Europe, and Asia, but it's particularly popular in Russia, where the PC game set a new record for the most users playing simultaneously on a single server: more than 500,000. Wargaming says its audience will grow even more in the near future thanks to the recent release of a major update for World of Tanks.
