Finnish mobile developer Rovio is partnering with Japanese mobile giant GungHo for a cross-promotion event, set to run from November 18th to December 1st. For the length of the promotion, characters from Rovio's internationally successful Angry Birds franchise will appear within GungHo's Puzzles & Dragons, via a special themed dungeon. Parallel to this, Rovio is also holding an illustration contest, inviting fans to submit art based on the cross-promotion to its Angry Birds Facebook page. "We are very happy to bring Angry Birds together with Puzzle & Dragons, and to introduce the fun contest to both games' fans all over the world," stated Jami Laes, vice president of games at Rovio. Rovio is the second Finnish developer to hold a cross-promotion with GungHo. The first, SuperCell, recently saw a major investment from GungHo parent SoftBank to the tune of $1.5 billion. "Angry Birds is one of the most recognizable entertainment franchises in the world," said Puzzles & Dragons creator Daisuke Yamamoto in a statement. "We are thrilled to be working alongside Rovio to give our fans a look at what it would be like if Angry Birds characters invaded the world of Puzzles & Dragons."
