Newsbrief: Capcom said today that it plans to expand RPG Dragon's Dogma into a full franchise after the new IP managed to ship over 1 million units in a month. The game launched in May to favorable reviews, and enjoyed a strong debut in Japan during its opening week, selling more than 300,000 copies from the get-go. Capcom noted that the title is the company's 55th game to ship over 1 million copies. Based on this success, the publisher is now looking to turn the brand into another "pillar of earnings," alongside other hit franchises including Monster Hunter and Sengoku Basara.
