- Far Cry 4 creative director Alex Hutchinson The next-gen console wars are in full swing, and online, much hay is being made about the resolution differences between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of games. Far Cry 4 creative director Alex Hutchinson sees this as a distraction from what's actually interesting: Trying to create interesting and new experiences. He explains this perspective in a new interview posted on the Official Xbox Magazine website. Does 1080p matter? When it comes to games, "I'm just in it for the experience, I'll play a SNES game if it's cool," says Hutchinson. He sees being in a business that sells itseelf on "gadgetry and technology" as "a bad sign" for games, and would rather concentrate his creative energies on games that are a "new spin or evolution" rather than "the exact same thing you had before, at twice the resolution."
