Mojang announced today that more than 10 million copies of Minecraft have been sold on Xbox 360 since its release last May. The original PC version has sold more than 13 million copies, according to the game's creator Markus Persson. Like many great moments in history, there will be a weekend sale to mark the occasion: Microsoft has announced that all downloadable skins and texture packs for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will be available at half price on Saturday, December 14th. Mojang released the alpha version of Minecraft on PC over four years ago and continues to update it on a regular basis; the most recent 1.74 update added integrated Twitch streaming options to the game. Mojang's next big Minecraft project, Minecraft Realms, remains in closed testing with no announced release date.
