Nintendo has revealed lifetime sales figures for a number of its biggest titles, noting that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is now the third Nintendo 3DS game to surpass 1 million sales. The critically acclaimed remake has seen approximately 1.08 million unit sales worldwide, with 270,000 total sales in Japan and 810,000 units sold in the U.S. and Europe. Previously Super Street Fighter IV 3D was the first 3DS game to ship one million units, and soon afterwards Nintendogs + Cats also managed to hit one million. Pokemon Black and White for the Nintendo DS was another big seller this fiscal quarter, with 1.36 million sold between April and June of this year, and 12.87 million units sold to date. Mario Kart Wii, originally launched at the start of 2008, continues to be a best-seller for Nintendo, with 1.22 million units sold in the first quarter, and 28.23 million units sold overall. Nintendo yesterday modified its financial forecast for the current fiscal year ending March 31, 2012, reducing its expected profits for the fiscal year by a hefty 81.8 percent. This was in light of a planned price slash on its Nintendo 3DS console, which will see its current suggested retail price of $249.99 fall to $169.99 from August 12 in the U.S.
