Capcom has announced that Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, the Nintendo 3DS installment of the classic series, has shipped 1 million copies worldwide. The fighting game was part of the 3DS launch line-up in all regions, and is the first 3DS title to reach this lofty figure, Capcom claimed. The publisher noted that the stereoscopic 3D capabilities of the handheld "have received high praise from users and have successfully expanded the audience for our fighting games." "In capturing both new fans and longtime fans of the series, we were able to reach the 1 million unit mark for this title," it said. The publisher has more 3DS titles on the way later this year, including additions to the Resident Evil franchise -- Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D and Resident Evil Revelations -- and a new Mega Man title, Mega Man Legends 3.
