Newsbrief: Independent virtual reality studio nDreams, creator of award-winning interactive story, The Assembly, has secured a £2 million ($2.5 million) in funding to continue its VR push.

The investment is the first part of a two-stage funding round. Previous investor Mercia Technologies forked over half of the cash, with the other half coming from a group of angel investors. 

"I'm so proud of the team that we have assembled here at nDreams," commented studio CEO, Patrick O'Luanaigh.

"This investment allows us to continue building on the momentum we have achieved, and to develop VR games and experiences of the very highest quality."
