Titanfall takes top honors at Game Critics' Best of E3

The Game Critics Awards have released the winners for this year's Best of E3, with the lion's share of awards going to Respawn's upcoming Xbox and PC action title Titanfall.

The Game Critics Awards, the product of more than 30 media outlets, have released the winners for this year's Best of E3. Coming away with five awards including Best Action Game and Best of Show is Respawn's Titanfall. The Oculus Rift was named Best Hardware/Peripheral, while Best Downloadable Game went to Supergiant Games' Bastion followup, Transistor. Here's the complete list:

  • Best of Show: Titanfall (Respawn/EA)

  • Best Original Game: Titanfall (Respawn/EA)

  • Best Console Game: Titanfall (Respawn/EA)

  • Best Handheld/Mobile Game: Tearaway (Media Molecule/SCEA)

  • Best PC Game: Titanfall (Respawn/EA)

  • Best Action Game: Titanfall (Respawn/EA)

  • Best Action/Adventure Game: Watch Dogs (Ubisoft Montreal)

  • Best Role Playing Game: The Elder Scrolls Online (Zenimax Online/Bethesda)

  • Best Racing Game: Need for Speed: Rivals (Ghost Games/EA)

  • Best Sports Game: NHL 14 (EA Canada/EA Sports)

  • Best Strategy Game: Total War: Rome II (Creative Assembly/Sega)

  • Best Social/Casual Game: Fantasia: Music Evolved (Harmonix/Disney Interactive)

  • Best Online Multiplayer: Titanfall (Respawn/EA)

  • Best Downloadable Game: Transistor (Supergiant Games)
