Oculus VR's publishing program is starting to bear fruit -- the company has revealed a partnership with Playful Corp. to build a third-person platformer exclusively for the Oculus Rift VR headset.
Newsbrief: Late last year Oculus VR hired former EA exec David DeMartini to spearhead its publishing program, and now we're starting to see the fruits of that labor as Playful Corp. announced this week that it's upcoming third-person platformer Lucky's Tale is being developed exclusively for the Rift in partnership with Oculus. Texas-based studio Playful, which was founded last year by former Zynga executive Paul Bettner, is also working on an "open-world sandbox" title called Creativerse that it plans to port to the Rift after the game launches on Steam later this year. Bettner is perhaps best known as one of the co-founders of Words With Friends developer Newtoy, which Zynga acquired in 2010. Prior to that he spent more than a decade working at Age of Empires developer Ensemble Studios.
