Years after it was supposed to be dead, Bethesda and Arkane Studios have brought the Prey series back to life.

The game was revealed with a trailer by Arkane's Raphaël Colantonio, who didn't waste an opportunity to poke fun at Kotaku's leak of the game from 2013.

The sequel to 2006's Prey began development at Human Head Studios, which was published by 2K Games. After the game's rights were sold to Bethesa Softworks, the game vanished from the public eye for several years before Bethesda confirmed it was cancelled in 2014. VP Pete Hines stated at the time that the game "wasn't up to our quality standard."
