Capcom announced a handful of new titles today, including a console port for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, an alternate storyline for Dead Rising 2, and an original action-adventure game called Dragon's Dogma. Slated to release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 some time next year, Dragon's Dogma (pictured) is an open-world game from director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, critical figures from blockbuster Capcom titles like Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 4. The game is built on an enhanced version of Capcom's MT Framework engine (used in Resident Evil 5, Lost Planet 2, and more), and challenges players to control a party of three as they "set out on an epic adventure to track down and destroy a mysterious dragon" in a medieval fantasy world. Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, which will ship on retail disc, delivers an "alternate storyline" to the Blue Castle-developed zombie game released last September, bringing back the series' original protagonist, photojournalist Frank West, to fight off and re-interpret the Fortune City outbreak. While the game uses the same setting and assets from Dead Rising 2, it adds new missions, enemies, and combo weapons to complement the alternate storyline. When it releases this fall for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, it will also feature enhancements to the save system and co-op gameplay. Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition is based on the arcade game released earlier this year, which added new characters and balance updates. Capcom will release the title as PS3 and Xbox 360 downloadable content for Super Street Fighter IV owners on June 7 for $14.99/1200 MS Points. The publisher will also put out a standalone Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition PS3 and Xbox 360 disc on June 24 in Europe, then on June 28 in North America. The game will release for PC in July, too.
