UK TV broadcaster Channel 4 is set to participate in a new round of funding for educational games, with the aim to support the video game industry in the UK. Colin Macdonald, who was recently appointed as Channel 4's first games commissioning editor, will next week detail exactly the types of games that the company is looking to invest in at Channel 4's Online Spring Briefing 2012, with the hope that UK developers will pitch their ideas. Channel 4's video games program is dedicated to supporting the video game industry. Its E4 subsidiary runs a browser games website, and has funded a number of indie titles such as Size Five Games' Privates.
